Dog Training, A Vital Step
May 6th, 2011 by admin

There are various reasons why it is essential to teach our pets especially dogs. Good dog training often time starts with that of potty training. Teaching one’s dog where it is satisfactory to relieve himself. Another common problem that starts from puppy hood is that of chewing, biting, and other problematic behaviors such as jumping up on other people.

Many times people will get rid of their dog due to a numberof unwanted behavioral issue instead of taking the time and making an effort to train their dog to understand how to behave property.

In fact my husband and I were able to adopt the most magnificent dog in the world, whose name was, “Tyler”, because the previous owners became frustration with him chewing on items in their house such as chair legs and other areas like the carpeting. Amazingly enough the owners on no account thought to purchase an collection of chew toys for Tyler during his puppy years when chewing is simply a natural thing that dogs do, especially when they are puppies.

During the years there have been several different dog training techniques developed over time. They have become gentler and more dog friendly. Less yelling, screaming, and basically terrorizing dogs into what they think of as puppy obediance training. I know that’s a bit harsh, but hey, I just happen to be one of those people who adore all living creatures, and have come to experience great joy in owning a wide variety of them. So, I’m a little prejudiced, or rather protective, of their feelings.

Tyler was one of those kinds of our loyal companions that I did not have to formally train, he just seemed to know what we expected of him. He was such a smart dog. Although he actually went through that typical stage where he wanted to chew on everything, but it only made my son rather tidy as he didn’t want his toys to end up in Tylers teetch or they were pretty much going to be his new chew toy. We did not actually considered this a bad thing, because it taught our son, to be neat and tidy, without us really having to ever instruct him to do it ourselves.

So to answer the question as to why puppy training as well as all other breads training is vital seems to be a bit obvious, yet often times overlooked. Bad dogs and difficult dogs end up where? In the pound. Training helps eliminate this problem. On the other hand, dogs that are not trained can develop unwanted bad dog behavior s that bring stress as well as other more serious problems into the lives of their human companions.
