Parrots are the most beautiful birds with great coloured plumage, they make fantastic pets. Teach them to sing, beat box, or any sort of sound. These birds can live from 60 to 100 years. African Grey
These parrots are medium sized and are usually of a greyish colour. Sometimes they have a red tail and red wings along with their grey bodies. For speaking you can't get better than this type of parrot. There are lots of words they can speak as they have vocal dexterity. Unfortunately not all Grey's will speak. Grey's have been known who never talked and did not even show signs of talking altogether. Give them lots of attention to make friends or they will be likely to scream alot. Once you make friends, the bird will be the most loyal pet you could ever hope for.
Conure
These parrots are small sized and have very big tails attached to their bodies. They come in many colours and are extremely intelligent. They love to act the fool. They learn quick on a variety of tasks. Teach this parrot to talk with patience. The drawback is that they are best matched to owners who have lots of time to spend with them.
This is due to the fact that they need many hours of training every day to instill proper behavioir. These birds can be made to control themselves if you train them from an early age.
Macaw
These parrots have been known to survive for about more than fifty years and knowing this you should be ready for a long relation with your bird. It is a big parrot so needs a big parrot cage. To ensure that the parrot is happy get a tall cage. Locking this parrot up all day is a bad idea, to be happy it needs time outside of its cage.
This parrots has a strong beak and bites everytihng. Give them lots of toys so they they dont attack your furniture and ruin it. They require a multitude of toys so that they can keep occupied.
