The exact origin of the breed of dog known as the beagle is unknown but it is thought that this sturdy breed descended from a blend of various English hunting dogs. Beagles are pack animals to the extreme and view a human family as their pack. Beagles come in various colors (and all are accepted in competition by the AKC) but they are most often represented in the tri-colored shades of black/white/tan. A yearly bath and occasional dry shampoo is enough to keep these small dogs clean. Grooming is a way to care for your beagle’s appearance and maintain his overall health.
While it may be true that cats generally do a pretty good job with taking care of their hygiene, your kitten might need a little help with the process. This way, your cat will be more receptive to grooming sessions when it becomes an adult. In certain very cold remote areas dogs are trained to haul sledges with a mobile pet grooming trailer — often the only means of transportation. Your kitten’s face should be the first place you start with grooming. Therefore, if you notice any discharge, you should contact your veterinarian. Even if your kitten was weaned properly, however, you should still check its ears and make certain they are clean. In this case, you should consult with a veterinarian to learn more about proper treatment.
Athough there has been a lot of progress in the animal care facilities and grooming standards as well as competitions, as far as ensuring your pooch gets the TLC (tender, loving, care) it may well be a guilt-factor that makes dog-owners consider doggy daycare. If dog-owners take a little time out to check out the facilities of a few local doggy daycare centers on their own, following the advice of their vet or the recommendations of the local SPCA chapter, they are sure to get to the best places for day-boarding for doggies that are a better option any day than simply leaving the poor dears chained up at home while the owners are at work. Matted fur – it happens to most dogs or cats occasionally. Of course, this can just make matters worse. So, what causes matts and how do you treat matted fur? Check and treat your pet for fleas regularly. Some cats and dogs have 2 coats of fur which shed and need to be brushed out. You can always have your pet shaved and let him start all over. Sometimes it’s the best thing. In the right weather, a fresh shave feels great to your pet.
All of the above can be stressful for the sensitive silky terrier dog and as a concerned owner of this breed of pet dogs, you have to understand the implications of keeping your pet in conditions that may not be conducive to your pet’s health, treating him unlike you would a toy. Matting is not only unattractive, but it’s uncomfortable for your dog as well. Regular grooming will help maintain a shiny, healthy coat and enhance your Golden Retriever’s quality of life.
