The Training Collar Is Safe For Dogs
July 21st, 2011 by admin

Have you tried everything to get your dog to listen to you? We are not all specialized pet trainers, so we try what we think it can work, like using a firm voice for commands, treat reinforcement for good behavior, specialized training classes. And if whatever  methods of training our dogs to behave in the proper we have tried led to no apparent succes, we should know there is still hope. We can’t all be dog whisperers and every dog owner has to start somewhere. Today all of us, pet trainers or owners, have the possibility to use a training device that had proven to be of effective help in training even the most stubborn dogs in the whole world. We just need to ask for a Training Collar to specialized shops.

The training collar is a specialized electronic type of collar, that can be attached similarily to any other collars around the neck of your dog. The difference is that you are given a remote control for the collar that typically has two functions. The first of these functions is often a warning button. By pressing this button, you will send a signal to your dog’s collar that will make the collar emit a warning beep telling the dog that it is performing in the wrong behavior. The second function is a shock button that gives your canine companion a little shock whenever it is pressed. The collar works through the use of typical negative reinforcement.

Most people believe the collar is an inhumane object to use when training a dog but it is no different from using a spray bottle or a swift smack on the nose. How humane the collar is completely depends on the user. If you set the collar’s shock intensity setting to full and just sit there tapping the shock button over and over again then yes, the collar is being used for inhumane treatment. But most of the pet owners learned that after their dogs have experienced two or three shocks, the warning beep is enough to correct their bad behaviour. You can even use the warning beep twice or thrice, and your dog will quickly learn the message. To enforce this good behavior even more, whenever your dog obeys to the sound of the beep, give your dog a treat.

In just a few days time, your dog will be enough trained to avoid any troubling situation. He will listen to your commands and not run off chasing after whatever catches his eye. The Training Collaris a better alternative than giving your dog up to a shelter when he may end up being put down.

The collars are in fact humane trainig methods. The dog is just startled by the shock. Try it out on yourself if you don’t believe it. There are thousands of content users. Join the group.
