Dog Christmas Video
Every year the pet business rolls out a few doozies, when it comes to Christmas gifts for dogs, and of course, this year is no different. Some are funny , others are just plain strange .Here’s a list of 10 of the worst Christmas gift ideas for your dog
1.Doggy clothes. Let’s face it, some dogs are clowns that will tolerate wearing clothing, but by and large, most dogs do not want to don clothes. They dislike costumes, hats, goggles, shoes, sweaters, or anything else they were not born wearing.
2. Pet memorial stones. Yes, it is true that some day your dog is going to pass away, but your dog will not enjoy or appreciate you purchasing a memorial stone or marker before the day actually arrives.
3. Pet’s Eye View. This little gadget lets you see what your dog has been up to when you’re away by hanging around your dog’s neck and taking photos . All you have to do is set the digital camera to take a picture every 1, 5 or 15 minutes so that you can review the images when you get home. This is an unfortunate idea because it’ll be a snooze for you since your dog probably naps most of the day and because your dog is entitled to some secrets, right? And besides, they probably do not want a camera swinging from their collar.
4. Humunga Stache Durable Dog Toy. When your dog holds the ball in his mouth, the attached mustache is positioned on their face to make it look like your dog has a mustache. It’s foolish and most dogs would just rather have a good old ball.
5. Fab Furcedes Pet Bed. Although we are not against pet beds, this is just a bit over the top silly . And it’s impractical because one throw in the washer and dryer and your dog’s swanky little sports car bed will look like a distorted VW Bug.
6. The Pin-Up Doggie Diva Wig. Besides being a bit creepy , we’ve yet to meet a dog that would enjoy wearing a wig. These bizarre little wigs range from ‘normal’ brown to a spiky fluorescent green. No dog should have to submit to this humiliation.
7. Charms to hang on their collar. Dog collar charms are made by a number of manufacturers like Bling-tastic and Rock of Love. Most dogs dislike wearing a collar and adding ‘bling’ to it will only weigh them down and add noise to their every movement . This is not enjoyable for anyone.
8. A tote bag. Dogs love to be with you; however, most dogs don’t really like being thrusted into a bag. If you want a pouch to carry your dog around in, buy it for yourself and get your dog a new toy or a bone to gnaw on – that’s what they really like.
9. Grooming supplies. Dogs are just not very anxious about their grooming, whether they are young or old, big or small. For health reasons, you should keep their nails short and their ears and wrinkles cleaned, and of course you want them to smell good enough to snuggle , but buying them grooming supplies for Christmas is like getting your child a pair of fingernail clippers or shampoo. They don’t want it, they want something fun.
10. Anything electric. A fence or an electric collar only represent limitations and punishment . Not a good holiday present , and certainly not fun any time.
Christmas gifts for your canine should be fun for them. They shouldn’t be at your dog’s expense or to make your life easier .You should give your K9 something that makes their life better. Add value to their life with something spectacular like a treat or toy, but omit these 10 worst Christmas gift ideas for your dog. Your dog will appreciate it.
